Adam made a cake yesterday to celebrate us crossing the 50 degrees West point, I made the icing.  It was a sandwich cake - these are now banned from being made on the boat as they are not sturdy enough - the icing sandwiching it together took a while to set in which time the cake on the top slid back and forth getting slightly more broken with each slide.  Cake still tastes the same, very nice - Adam did a good job with no scales since electronic scales don't work on a rocking boat - but we have to eat our cake pile off a plate with a fork.

Quite a hard night last night as we had to gybe yesterday afternoon as we were getting too far north, the swell and waves are not behaving and not all coming from the same direction and last night was like being on a rollercoaster, riding up and down some big waves this morning.  I have been trying to do my homework for my oceanmaster exam by taking sun sightings - no idea how you ever get them accurate with the boat moving about so much, my theory is that I will take a lot and then some of them have to be right.
