The Beach at Low Bay - 11 miles of unbroken sand with hardly a soul on it  - the sea is on the left and the saltwater lagoon is on the right - just a narrow beach separates the two.  They are trying to protect the vegetation and put in wooden fences where the vegetation is thin to keep the beach and protect the lagoon, I am standing at an area (now filled in with Sand) where Hurricane Donna put a hole in the beach through to the lagoon a number of years ago ) hence the lack of plants

you get some amazing skies here as the squalls that sweep over the ocean come straight over Barbuda (no mountains to hold them up)  The water is very shallow around the island and the white sand beneath it makes it luminous in the sunshine
