Southern Princess Day 5 12z 23:05N 28:06W

OK! OK! Helen found the log boring; all those lats and lons and nothing
about whales & dolphins. So I am back to the 'make it up as we go along'
format.

I think we won the prize yesterday for the most engine hours 14 plus
out of 24! But we had been lolling around for hours with sails slatting and
Irene not impressed about our lack of progress  so it was 'engine on' and 8 knots forwards.
However just after 12:00UTC  291107
(that's sailor talk for 29th November) we had a nice breeze and have been
reaching along at between 7 and 8.5 knots with the occasional 9 as I write
this at 18:30UTC.291107

One of the great luxuries of this yacht is its water maker. I have just had
a good hot shower, shampoo etc and have dressed for dinner! Irene is waiting
for her evening JD & soda while Justin & I enjoy a cold beer. Interesting we
weren't sure whether our icemaker would work while we were rocking and
rolling along but it does so plenty of ice.

Dinner? A treat, roast pork with lots of roast vegies and home (boat) made apple sauce with a 2003 red from Rioja! Oh! And a couple of Magnums (dark chocolate coated vanilla ice-cream) from the freezer. Life's tough but someone has to do it!

Sorry Helen no whales or dolphins in the last 24 hours.

Tune in tomorrow for the 'ball bearings on the foredeck saga'!

Cheers
