Ceratodus
Just a tiny station stop at a river crossing in the middle of nowhere, the
ticket office preserved and full of historic photos from catching lungfish in
the river (hence the name Ceratodus) to the cow in a tree in the 1920s flood, to
cotton harvesting and pre-war schooldays (looks as if only one family could
afford jumpers and shoes).
We have crossed the Tropic of Capricorn again heading south. No sign
of it getting any cooler, in fact today is one of the hottest we’ve
had. |
