Things seem a bit sunnier today..... spring has arrived with a vengeance, the horse chestnuts in our courtyard are really green, the tulips are in full bloom, and itâs very warm and sunny. AND for the first time, people in the street & the shops have smiled and talked to us!!  There is something going on tonight.  There are blacked out 4x4âs, golden maseratis and clapped out soviet trabants and super-hot porsches all vying for road space at 90mph with tyres screeching (except the trabants).  They are all parking at the top of the Potemkin Staircase.  Maybe itâs a Thugs & Tarts Party.  We havenât been invited.

 

So we feel a bit more positive.  Maybe we will carry on with the planned itinerary if we can get our car back as promised, and get the visas sorted.  We change our minds every day!
