After what seems like an awfully long time in Bonaire , a very dry and dusty Bonaire I might add , we have finally left for Puerto Rico , the forcast seemed good , but as with all these things they never go to plan , we had 3 days and nights of really big waves and high winds right on the nose with the boat slamming really hard into it we finally arrived in Puerto Rico , really tired , we grabbed a few hours sleep and were then woken by custom who when they realised we had no us visas told us to leave........., we were low on fuel , had a tear in the mainsail and had come here to have our water maker fixed ........ anyway sense prevailed and they let us have up to 30 days ...... we took a trip into San Juan , it is very America like ..big shopping malls , very sprawling , we have managed to provision the boat wel , as the further down the island chain we go the more difficult it is to get decent provisions .
With all our repaires now done we are anxious to leave the constictions of being in a Marina and head back out there , we are now making our way over to Calubra , part of the Spnish Virgin Islands and back on anchor which we love ...... then Antigua here we come..... just in time for race week.......
