Well we are settling in very nicely here and beginning to find where everything is , we have internet on the boat at various times of the day which does make life a little easier than walking a mile to a bar that has free wi fi , as you can see we have a nice spot in the marina and everyone on our pontoon is doing the arc so that is a good icebreaker , We had a free mast inspection today form " Jerry the rigger" and obviously he found a problem but nothing too major we will get the parts brought out by our crew ( hopefully ) and then we will have a safe and sturdy mast .We are meeting lots of people that we have met in previous ports and we had a lovely evening last night with Lee and Barbara on "Amour" We have had to be very security minded as this is a public marina and although they have gates which you can enter with a key they are easy to climb around , a danish boat found a tramp on board at 3 in the morning with all their camera,s and wallets , The city of Las Palmas is huge and I even found a Marks and spencers here ( why did i expect a foodhall?) and in the big department store you can even buy designer puppies for 1600euros all in huge glass cages , our friend Maggie from sea fever would be mortified , but they were adorable .even the foodhall ( nearly as good as M&S no actually a lot better !)has live crab and lobster at the fish counter , not adorable but v.v.tasty!Well I am now going to take my designer puppy for a walk and buy him a beer !
