At last we have left St lucia , we have had a lovely time there , but we are glad to move , we decided to go straight to Grenada , about 24 hours , but by dawn we were tired and called into Carriacou , a lovely island of just 5000 people , we anchored straight off the main town which is built on the beach , we cleared customs and immigration with no problems and had a lovely walk around the town , not very much there though .

on our return to the boat we were very pleased to see Indian Summer and our friends Dick and lizzie , we hadn't seen them for about 2 months so it was a good time to catch up over a sundowner , we had a lovely night .

The next morning we moved around the headland to Tyrrell Bay which is a much more settled anchorage , Mark and I went ashore to take the rubbish and we had a lovely dog come for "walkies "with us , he even trotted into the yacht club had a drink of water and a quick snooze .....we had to keep avoiding the wandering cows though...

we had arranged to meet Dick and Lizzie for happy hour in a local bar and caught up with another boat " Ria " wheo we last met in portugal , small world , as lizzie and I had combined our efforts for a curry, and all the bits that go with it , the 6 of us went back to Blue Beyond for supper , what a great night , and what a late night , and what fun .

We decided to explore the mangrove swamp which was nearby , and it was like a different world , we turned off the engine and used the oars and it was so silent and beautiful , luckily we had splashed on a bucketfull of deet and we did not get bit .....

we where now ready to move on to Grenada ..........
