Oeiras was a lovely town but we were all eager to leave for Sines as this meant only one more stop before Lagos ,another great day sailing we all managed a full cooked breakfast while on route and then everyone polished off a shepaerds pie for lunch . The guys managed to get up the cruising chute and it really let us take off , again we had a spectacular view of dolphins , we also saw some pilots whales although they didn't come too close . We had Orchid of Dover on our bow quarter and they contacted us on the radio to ask if we could see something starnge on their bow , we could indeed ! it was the periscope of a submarine coming straight at them and possibly us too , we told them we would standby and it safely passed by us both !, we arrived in sines , had a meal on board and lots of other ralliers on board for drinks . The Bambinos went out on the town and came back to the boat at 5-30! oh to have that much stamina . on the Sunday we had a lovely reception in the town hall and then Ray , Bev , Rob sarah and ourself sat in a very traditional portugese fish restaurant and had a very nice 3 hour lunch ,. We enjoyed sines but we are ready for our final leg , Lagos here we come
