we were very sad to see Ian and Tina go but they
left looking very tanned and relaxed ,although the scrabble games after our
sundowners were getting very vicious.........to the
death......
Gary and Kathryn arrived and we had planned on a
few days in Rodney bay before we moved on , but we then started to have a few
problems , the main water pump split so Gary and Mark set about a repair , so
Kathryyn and I had a very pleasant time sitting on the bathin platform ,
dangling our feet in the water while we washed the dishes in salt water in a
bucket , lovely ..... then the main bilg pump blew up so that had to be replaced
, the the water maker played up and we were almost out of water so we upped
anchor and went into the Marina . It is now very busy because Martinique which
is only 24 miles away has now been on a general strike for 2 weeks and there is
no food or fuel and people are now rioting , so all those who can leave are now
here , the gut who can fix the water maker still hadn't turned up after two days
so we filled the tanks full and have headed of down the coast to Marigot bay we
should be fine for a week for water( it is because our toilets flush fresh water
straight out of the tank that we use so much) Nearly had a catastopy mooring up
, a gust of wind caught the boat and while i was trying to keep her steady and
only feet from another boat Mark dropped a rope striaght into the bowthruster ,
now I was helpless , I reversed her out pretty quick before we had a huge
collision , the second time around was more successful
We have redicovered the fun of 'euker' a really
good card game although this is looking to get a bit competive.....
Gary and kathryn have set off for a 8-10mile walk
so we too thought we would go for a wander and we did a pretty respectable 3
mile walk over the hill to a beautiful bay, thoroughly enjoyed it,
well I need to shuffle those cards
