We were thrilled to welcome our friends Ray and Bev back on the boat , the last time we were on Blue Beyond was when we had crossed the Atlantic .

We let them aclimatise to the heat and recover from the long flight and spent a few days showing them small parts of the Island and then we sailed off North , our first Island was Carriacou and this had a tiny island called Sandy island where we had sundowners on the beach and snorkled and swam in the beautiful clear waters , we were joined on this trip by some American friends Scott and Collen who had not explored these waters, in their catamaran 'Argo Nevis'
The next day we made our way to Union Isalnd and sundowners were this time on 'Happy Island'a tiny man made bar out on the coral , we then made our way round to Chatham bay where we planned to spend a few days .
Just idyllic in this bay , we had the customary bbq and beach bonfire with just the 6 of us on this deserted beach , we stayed late into the night singing and telling stories and watching the dying embers of the fire , again just perfect .

Next stop was Mayreaux , in 'Saltwhistle Bay' this was picture perfect turquiose sea and we waded into the clear water and picked up conch shells .

but this was the bit everyone was waiting for , the short 2 hour sail round to the Tobago Cays , we swam with turtles who are quite accostomed to you swimming with them and we also took the dingy over to a small island that they used in the 'pirates of the Carribean' and saw an aquarium of different fish ...but.... when we tied the dingy to a buoy and swam over a pristine coral reef  I turned around in the water and came nose to nose with a 12 ft shark , luckily , Mark was nearby and saw it at the same time and swma straight over to me where I was able to stand on his shoulders and scream loudly through my snorkle ....... my hero .. it did just swim away .. but that it not the point.... why me?

We had a great 2 weeks which was full of laughter and the ease of being with two old friends , one moment sticks out hilariousely of Ray being very kind and cleaning all our sunglasses for us in the morning , but one morning was abit smeary , til we realised he'd used femfresh wipes...... bless........ course we laughed our socks off!!!!!!!

All too soon it was their time to go and we really missed them after they left but we will catch up again at Christmas .....
