You know how it is you feel that you ought to be moving on and seeing new sights, but, it all takes effort and co-ordination and it is hot , so the best answer is to stay put ! , we had planned to move to Tenerife today which is all of 24 miles , but just never got round to it , the weather is going to deteroriate over the next few days with stronger winds , and because of the location of the islands there are compression zones where the wind is squeezed through at an accelerated speed so we do need to be a tad aware , so Thursday looks good, we explored the island a bit further yesterday and it really is lovely , great if you are a serious walker ,not if you are a serious driver as the roads on the North of the island are very steep and very very winding , but the views are stunning . we stopped for lunch in a small village and i tried the local speciality which is watercress soup , which is strange on such dry island but it was delicious.
