We had planned alovely day going around the island to look at the Volcano , so we had a car booked and were looking forward to a nice lunch out , but , through the night a huge swell started to roll in , we were up half the night tying every rope we had to anything we could find , but Blue beyond was rolling and pitching violently , worse that being at sea , this started to cause huge damage to the cleats all over the boat as they tried to hold 26 tons of lurching boat , we had no choice but to leave at first light and head out to sea to avoid any serious damage to the boat , talk about being unprepaired , anyway we left not even knowing where we were heading , after an hour or two we calmed down as the seas became more and more rough , sort of out the frying pan into the fire but at least we wouldn't bee causing any more damage , and we decided to make for La Gomera , we arrived after a rough passage and thankfully entered the Marina without misshap even though the wind got up to 30knots not a good thing to happen when you need to moor up  , but what a little find !we have arrived at the being of a fiesta so every night we are able to watch the most fabulous entertainment , all outdoors and all for free we have decided to stay for at least a week ( well we did say that about the last island!) which we will as long as the weather stays good , oh it is only 33 degrees at the moment !
