"28-40-04N 17-46-00W" We have finally left Madeira and we must admit we have had a great time , met some great people and ate some great food , we have had a weather window so we have taken our opportunity, as we left the Marina we were accompanied by 7 pilot whales who lazily cruised past the boat , we took 2 days and two starlight nights to reach our destination of Las Palmas which is the most westerly of the Canaries , it is much hotter and no one speaks any english and we aren;t exactly fluent in anything but we are managing to get by , the Marina is not finish so we have to use the facilities of the 5 star yacht club with an indoor pool , jacuzzi , outdoor pool and restaurant , this is just getting tougher ! all this for 15 euros a night ! we had a bit of the problem with one of our battery banks which decided to all fry themselves so we have had to have them replaced , we contacted the marina manager who shook his head and within 10 minute battery man had arrived , sorted the situation and within the hour new agm gel bateries were fittied and up and running , we were sort of surprised at this speed after living in the uk for so long , long may it continue ! anyway Im now off to takes some pictures and find out the history of the island , Mark is in the bar ! no he really does enjoy the culture bit! pictures arriving soon!
