In Copenhagen...

Yesterday was productive. The skipper got two loads of dhobi done, so the boats downwind are no longer wrinkling their noses. Stuart refreshed the anti-chafe on the main halyard peak, while the skipper topped up the donk's oil level - first time in 250hrs of running since leaving Poole. We then went in search of the famous mermaid: not hard to find, as she's only 60 seconds walk from the boat. Then a 20 minute walk into the centre of town: en route we enjoyed the changing of the guard outside the Amalienborg Palace.  We soon found a canal side brasserie, and over a beer enjoyed watching the world go past.  We fell into conversation with a young Austrian couple and their young son. As non-sailors, they expressed amazement when we showed them Aquila's web site. So much so that I felt I had to warn them: never buy a boat! See accompanying phots.
The young lad said - in excellent English - that the thing he'd enjoyed the most about the family holiday in Denmark was Tivoli. With this recommendation, we duly made our way there, and enjoyed the unique atmosphere to be found there, and a meal in an Italian restaurant. 
Back on board, the skipper struggled to keep his eyes open, even though Stuart armed him with a wee dram...
