It's the middle watch, and at last the forecast westerly breeze has filled in. Yesterday around 1100 the wind backed to S, as opposed to veering to W as forecast. This had us heading towards Holyhead, not at all where we wanted to go. The wind then died, leaving a confused lumpy sea that was most uncomfortable. The donk took over and we are pleased to report that our repairs have been most successful. But now at last we have full sails again.

Not decided yet where we will next call in. Maybe Arklow or Kilmore Quay. Depends on how the current breeze holds and what the oncoming 0400 watch think. Nothing like a dawn pow_wow to start the day off!
