Ian and Myf, and the Mate Sarah, joined as planned on Thurs. Sarah's flight was delayed 2 hrs by a French ATC strike, but faithful Spanish taxi driver patiently stood in Arrivals with name placard awaiting her. So well after midnight when we eventually turned in, with the news of Farage acknowledging defeat in our ears.

Crew awoken by skipper shouting 'yes' 12 times first thing on Friday morning. 'Nuff said.

Gentle sail to secluded bay: where upon windlass gave up paying out cable.  Skipper had been conscious it had been making strained noises for several days, but check over had revealed nothing.   Ian and skipper turned to in diagnostic mode.  After 45 mins had identified problem, and 2 hrs later we had a fully serviceable windlass.  BZ Ian!

Azores High is giving many days of stiff northerlies, but took advantage of shall respite Sat morning to make ground N to Corcubion. Hard fetch in NNE6, but no significant seas due to landmass so no great shakes. Now on buoy, preparing to venture ashore for tapas....

Phots to follow.
