On departing Gdansk, we left open the next port of call. As ever, it all depended on the wind...
The initial NW2 enabled us to tack around the Hel peninsula some three hours after leaving Gdansk. The forecast promised a veer to the NE, but it took a long time in coming. And when it did at 1600, it then promptly died. So we donked until 0450, when GRIB delivered more wind as he said he would. The ENE steadily built as expected, until by midday it was F7, giving us a rollicking broad reach under double reefed main and the staysail.
By this time we were approaching Bornholm island, one of our many options. As GRIB is saying that these favourable winds will last until Wednesday evening, we've put into Ronne for some 12 hrs.
We'll probably sail in the early hours of tomorrow morning, continuing west. Now for a shower somewhere, and a run ashore...
