We enjoyed Rodvig: good shower, a berth alongside a very accommodating Dutch couple in their live-aboard converted mussle barge, a  tasty Thai meal ashore, and a very quiet night. Only snores could be heard...
Plan A had been to stay two nights, but we are keen to see if we can get into Langelinie marina close to the centre of Copenhagen. To maximize our chances, we need to arrive just after boats have left: so about 1000. This would have meant an 0400 start to cover the 35 miles.
So Plan B was hatched. We sailed after breakfast, after taking on fuel and water.
As soon as we were out, the asymmetric was flying together with the main to make the most of the SE1. In no hurry, we ghosted along, enjoying the calm sea: bit of a contrast to the morning the previous day!
A trough line or two passed over us giving us a good soaking during the 30 mile passage to our intended destination: a marina on the outskirts of the city, within an hour's sail of Langelinie. Just a shame there are no secluded anchorages hereabouts. En route we were passed at close hand by some very big ships, with a great backdrop provided by ' The Bridge'. Shame we didn't have the series' theme tune to hand.
We arrived in very gloopy viz, making the skipper earn his keep as we felt our way in across some decidedly marginally shoals. But all went well, and we are now in a box mooring in Kastrup Standpark marina.
Tomorrow we will aim to cover the remaining 5 miles to Langelinie in time for a 1000 arrival. And if there's no space, we can always return here...
