Progress has been very good and Aquila is approximately 20 miles from Ushant. The crew hope to be picking up a buoy by 2200 local time.
Although we have had to have the engine on for a few hours due to light northerly winds we have had clear blue skies and sunshine all day and so many dolphins that we are being distracted from all the important jobs. There is a delicious smell of fricassee, rice and courgettes being prepared in the galley.
The plan will be to spend a couple of nights in Ushant and then head to the French coast before leaving for Poole on Wednesday weather permitting.
