Since passing the mid point in our North Sea passage,  life has been very tranquil. At 0600 on Thursday 1st, a zephyr from the South enabled the asymmetric to be set, and the iron topsoil silenced. We thereon ghosted along on our New course, steadily increasing speed as the wind slowly built to SE 2-3. Bright sunshine, more consumption of Auntie Judith's Cornish fairings, Rosalie's flapjacks and fruit cake, and Sarah's delicious Chicken fricasse for supper ensured crew morale remained sky high. Even at midnight, true darkness never overtook us, due to the sun's presence only a few degrees below the horizon as it circled us through North.

Friday's dawn brought more of the same, with some 120 miles remaining to run to Thyboren. The crew are all well into the watchkeeping rythm; 2 hours on and four hours off is pure luxury. We are now all skilled galley slaves, and are also probably putting on weight!
