A fast passage here in N5 at first in bright sunshine, and NNW 7 in driving rain at end. We covered the 35 miles in 6hrs, so averaged almost 6kts. Three slabs in main and the trusty staysail saw us to the waiting buoy until the gates opened at 2100. Fuel, supper of chilli concarne and a pint ashore in a traditional waterfront pub rounded off a great day.

Really sorry to say goodbye to Tom today - absolutely wonderful to have had you aboard again for a proper trip. Next year come with Hester and her special weather.
