READY TO SAIL

Well, it's Sunday evening, and we are ready to
go. Pippa arrived on Satuday evening as planned, and earlier in the day we
had enjoyed visits from many people from the Embassy: the Canhams; the Haywards;
the Bullocks; Paul and Mandy, the O'Gradys;the Fitzpatricks and the Frankhams -
and our apologies to Peter and Jeanette for having to go, moments before you
arrived, to collect Pippa who had caught an earlier train from
Newark.
And thank you too to David Anson and Jenny Easton
for coming down on Friday afternoon and taking us to lunch courtesy of the Queen
of New Zealand. It was great to see you both again, and we hope you and
all the Attaches have a great summer tour - we will be with you in
spirit!
The forecast for tonight is for a gale and rain,
but it sounds as though the worst will have blown over by tomorrow
morning. We will see!
