Good progress today: 72 lock miles. Aquila is now in Lake VIKEN, 92 metres above sea level. Definitely a record for her! And as we entered the lock, the log ticked over to 14,000 miles since we departed from Deale in the Chesapeake, USA, 9 years ago. That's a lot of sail changes! We marked the occasion with a glass of Oyster Bay and a group photo using the broom as a selfie stick. Just a shame we can't send photos at the moment due to insufficient bandwidth in these beautifully remote parts.

Right now at anchor in splendid, tranquil isolation, with only the wildlife for company. Another superb supper, and a wee dram.  The skipper even tried his hand at fishing - you can guess the result. Boat floating on a mirror as the sun struggles to dip below the horizon....
