Noon-noon run:  105miles

Well, we survived hell and high water!  Or at least, that's what it seemed like at times!  The front went through as forecast, and for the last 18 hours we have been hard on the wind on port tack, making about 105M at 5-6kts, in a wind that has steadily been decreasing and is now NE Force 3-4.  105M is not exactly the direction we want to go, but with over 2000 miles yet to run it's good enough for the moment.  We expect the wind to back on Sunday night, and that should alow us back onto our proper course (about 070M at these latitudes).

We are gradually getting the boat back in order; the cooker is back on its gimbals, the heads compartment is now civilised again, minor repairs are beign tackled (the big torch took two tumbles 7' down the companion way) and we are cooking proper meals again.  The sea state is gradually abating (from SS7 at its worst), the sun is peeking through, and life is looking up.

Lots of marine life; Ian had a whale do a cirlce around the boat, Tom had a pod of dolphins almost in the cockpit, and saw a Frigate bird take a flying fish on the wing - unlucky!  We have had some ships for company too; 4 last night.  It's getting like Picadilly circus!
