We sail most of the ten miles or so to  Skiathos.  One of Vangelis’ mates has organised a berth for us. We take on 1467 litres of diesel. Who said sailing was free? I didn’t buy any in Turkey as it was even more expensive.

Skiathos is the huge tourist trap.  Planes and boats arrive continuously. It doesn’t inspire any picture taking.

I do find an excellent fan for the chart table which I’ve been wanting for years.  We leave at 7:30 on the 30th planning to go the inside route around Evvia, however we’re just discovered that the bridge we have to bass under only opens  between 1AM and 4AM and not at all on weekends so we’re making a run on the outside. This takes us through a particularly nasty piece of water and the Meltemi is abut to start in earnest, but hopefully we’ll turn the corner tonight before it really starts blowing.
