10/8/08  15:00

We left for Wallis (210 miles) on a beautiful clear morning at 8AM.  We didn’t have the usual morning showers clearing later. It was already clear.   The wind has been a healthy SE about 20/25 knots and we’re making reasonable time and if the wind holds will arrive early tomorrow morning.

A couple of hours ago we landed a small Dorado, big enough for two meals…just. Demetra was very happy as we were out of fish. The line has gone back out.

Around about sunset tonight we will cross the International Date Line which means we will be almost the last people on earth to see the sunset on 10/8/08.
We will go from GMT–12 to GMT+12 and it will suddenly be tomorrow.

Very confusing!
