We arrived in Malta at 8:40 this morning following an extremely uneventful few hours of motoring 111 miles through the 1 and 2 knot breezes. We took on 1219 litres of diesel (ouch again) and bagged the last berth on the visitors dock.  Well we’re almost on the dock, we get ashore by lowering the swim platform and clambering over the dinghy.

The washing machine is on its third load.

The average life for a printer on this boat seems to be two years. I tried unsuccessfully in Gibraltar to buy some spare ink cartridges for our current Brother printer purchased two years ago in Papeete which is handy because it just died and at least I’m not stuck with expensive useless cartridges.  The local shop is trying to find me a replacement later today.

We will leave tomorrow morning for Kalamata. Its a 388 mile run and we expect very little wind to start  although there may be a useful light Northerly  Saturday evening.
