03:00

It clouded over this afternoon and there was no visible sunset.

Tonight  it’s inky black and cold again. Thermals in the cockpit.  Light rain.  Wind has dropped along with boat speed which is down to 6 knots. It’s still SW but has gone aft of the beam. It’s supposed to drop and back NW tomorrow.

09:00

We’re sailing is a grey soup with very little viz.  The wind is clocking to the NW and for the moment we’re 40 degrees off course, the first time we’ve been off track since leaving Nantucket.  When the wind settles we will gybe  and hopefully get back to a better course.

10:30

Spinnaker up. Boat speed up.  Virtually back on course.  Weather still very English.

16:00

Cool air coming in from the WNW has caused fog to form and close in all around us.  Vis is a hundred meters at the moment.  The wind is still allowing us to make seven plus knots  under spinnaker. The sea is still slight. Yesterday’s 24 hour run was 182 miles.  We still have nearly 1200 to go.

Not much in the way of snaps.  Robby sent a couple of pre-NYC departure and there
