Another rainy day in Paradise....It’s been pelting down most of the night and all of the morning.   So we haven’t had any shore leave yet.  I had the following from Anthony confirming my suspicions:

“The N will be with you from 0000 UTC 6th which is arriving with some slow moving frontal activity which does not clear you until 0000 UTC 9th. There looks like a shallow low coming through the track on 10th. From 0000 UTC on 11th you have S-SE winds for 3 days (backing E) and I think that is your opportunity to go.”

18:30

It stopped raining this afternoon so we went for a couple of hours walk.  There are supposed to be 800 people here but they are very spread out and we only saw a few.  It must be very beautifiul in the sunlight.  The local architecture ranges from very poor to almost grand. The vegetation is extremely lush.

Steve spent a few hours tinkering with the water maker.  A diverter valve was jamming and needed cleaning and there was also a fault with the “stroke sensor.” We’re not quite sure what a strike sensor does. but we had a spare and now everything’s ticketyboo.

He also rigged up his rainwater collection device which had to be held in position by several full bottles of bottled water...no comment.  See picture.
