How sad am I. This morning I walked the half hour back to the parking lot
in search of the company house. None of the houses across the street
stirred any memories. There was however a vacant lot across from the
parking lot. Come to think of it we probably trashed the house and maybe
it never survived our occupation.

We left at 2:00 and motored the first 3 ¼ hours. The wind is now SSE Force
4 (barely) and we’re ghosting along at 6 and a bit knots.
The lights of Atlantic City are to port and it’s a cool cloudy night.
With less than 80 miles to go we should be in late morning even at this
gentle speed.

We sailed a few hours of the 121 mile trip. The wind went South and
dropped so when we could barely only make 4 knots we motored. We
experienced light rain on the approach and unfortunately the city was not
bathed in sunlight to greet us.
We of course took the obligatory shot of the statue of Liberty....we were
moored up by 9AM. .

This diary will probably go quiet for a few days. Demetra and
Elen arrrive next weekend for 10 days, Lots of friends are threatening to
descend and we are due to leave on the 13th and head for Nantucket with
new crew.
