21/05/10

We left at 8:30 with a glassy bay and absolutely no wind.  We motored the 35 miles to Annapolis and got in at 12:30.  We are definitely in Down Town Annapolis.  It’s a bit like being in a fish bowl.  We are getting lots of complements, the Americans seems to like the Moody look.  When we arrived a dock master pointed to the spot that had been reserved  for us and took our lines.  A minute later he gave me a receipt and said we were good to go.  When you make a booking they ask for your credit card number and then take the full amount immediately, i.e. before you even arrive.  Extraordinary.

Robby arrives later this afternoon.  We had a replacement door lock sent to his house in The Palisades, and a replacement relay for the Bow Thruster sent to his brother in Bethesda who he visited last night. The little package arrived this morning and he’s delivering both personally.

21:00

Robby arrived and the Bow Thruster part is just what we needed and  it now works both port and strarboard.  I shall attach some snaps mostly taken on the way here.

We will go for a wander this evening.
