Well I was wrong about the Resort not welcoming yachties, they welcomed three more dinner guests with open arms and an excellent meal it was to.

We woke to clear skies and a flat sea. Demetri went off to do his double shark dive. During the first one it clouded over and a 30 knot squall came through. Towards the end of the second dive it cleared and has been very nice the rest of the day.

While looking for a local shop yesterday we met the manager of the Royal Davui on Ugaga Island, reputed to be one of the best in Fiji. He offered us a deep water mooring and I decided to come for a visit. Apparently it costs 1200/1400 Australian Dollars per couple per night, so it can’t be too shabby.

We will try dinner tonight at a very reasonable FJD30 each—about £10.

While Demetri was diving Steve and I explored the little river and found lots of expensive houses and locals fishing from the opposite bank. I attach a few snaps including a couple of abandoned boats, the trimaran looking like a left over from “Waterworld.”
