27 Mile Run

2/6/12  We completed the 27 miles to Poros and arrived mid day on a Saturday afternoon..

Vagelis had a couple of mates on boats here and after a few phone call and a bit of running around, a  length of threaded rod the correct size was dispatched from Cornith.  It cost  €3.50 but we still needed a machine shop to fabricate a new block. As luck would have it we were moored next to a banker who keeps his boat there and knew a local engineer. His workshop was on the mainland and by 6pm after a bit of backing and forthing  it was sorted and  he even made us a spare.  This part set me back €150.00.  Oh Well.... It was a Saturday afternoon. Vagelis introduced us to a restaurant  high above the seafront which we knew nothing about and had a very good  if very meaty meal.
