17/10/08  15:00

The grey continues with spitting rain. We alter course  a few more degrees  South to try to keep the boat speed over 6 knots.

22:00

Wind has gone NE still Force 4 which is not very helpful. We’re barely maintaining 6 knots. The rain has stopped for the moment.  No stars.  Hamish has moved into his cabin.

18/10/08  09:00

The grey cocoon continues to engulf us…it rained lightly off and on all night. Boat speed often less then   6 knots. Wind is slowly going back to ESE which is encouraging.  Hopefully tomorrow we will have better wind.

12:00

Still Grey, but a lighter shade of grey and it’s not  raining.  The Wind (or should I say Zephyr) went back to ENE.  The 24 hour run a disappointing 148 miles which may be a low end record which is what happens if you average 6.1 knots. At least we’re not motoring.  Norfolk is a little over 330 miles to go so we should still get in Monday afternoon.
