This is being typed on a new $22.00 Radio Shack USB keyboard and so far so good.   Whilst storing the  irritating wireless keyboard in the paper chart locker (which is hardly even opened) I found a USB keyboard and was feeling silly until I remembered its the French Keyboard I had to buy in Tahiti.  I shall now consign it to the deep 6....recycle bin.

Yesterday we wandered around Wilmington, a town which was dying a few years ago but which had been restored and is now a gentle tourist attraction and real estate has sky rocketed  The guide book suggests you could spend days there but I think that would be difficult.  I’ll attach  a few snaps which only include some of the dozens of churches and at the end an example of marina wiring worthy of the finest Greek electrician.

Last night the temperature plummeted with the arrival of the NE wind. We’ve gone from the 90s to the 70s and now the low 40s.  Fortunately I reinstated my duvet and was nice and warm but didn’t want to get up in the cold this morning.  Eventually I dashed to a hot shower.

At the moment it looks like we’ll get fair weather window tomorrow (Tuesday) so we will leave midmorning and begin the 330 mile leg to Hampton, the Southern end of The Chesapeake Bay. Hopefully with more Southerly winds the temperature will improve or else Graham and Ann will have to unpack their foul weather gear they brought all the way from England.
