We we arrived  around 4:45 local time and thought we could wait on the fuel dock but the local Police kicked us off.  We went to a Marina next to the airport runway for a  almost 5 hours and paid for a full 24.  At least we did customs and immigration there.

The sound of 1000s of sea gulls all chattering at once was truly extraordinary,  Talk about a dawn chorus.

After checking out of marina one, we  took on over 1400 litres of fuel (ouch) at a slightly discounted  volume price which took an hour and a half due to the very slow filling system and by the time we were in the reserved marina it was early afternoon.  We’ve been running around settling in, trying to sort out the internet, trying to find a sailmaker etc etc.  The nearest one is in Torremolinos about 1 ½ hour drive.

There is no proper wifi on the dock, you have to go to a cafe, although I’ve picked up something called “huevosfritto277” which seems to work sporadically.

The 6 day 17 hour trip was a total of  1153 miles. We motored for a total of 65 hours 45 minutes.   It ended as it began with a lot of motoring and some extreme sailing in the middle.

I will be going back to London for a bit and this blog will go quiet until the next chapter starts.   In the meantime I enclose a few snaps of our current neighbours and the obligatory sunset.
