The wind kept pushing us South and when it got to the point we were sailing SSE we tacked and headed West.  There had been another series of light rain squalls and shortly after we tacked the front came through and the wind settled into a SSE direction at about 15 knots.

At the moment stars peep through the cloud cover and there are occasional glimpses of the waning moon. Were doing 8 knots and are back on the Rhumb Line, pointing 10 degrees South of course which may be helpful when the wind increases to 25 knots as forecast for later tomorrow.

12:00

The winds gone down again to ESE 7/8 knots and  we’re making 5 knots or so.

Yesterday’s run was  a modest 158 miles not all of it directly towards Rarotonga as we only gained 129 miles overall.  369 to go.
