The crossing was quite lively.  We left at  20:45, the wind was behind us from the SouthEast and the three meter sea was running from the SouthWest so there was quite a lot of rolling.   We opted to sail a bit North to avoid poling out which  would have made the rolling worse.

About half way across the seas began to ease and we averaged over 8 knots.  We’ve spent a few days walking and swimming while  the younger lot had some bicycle excursions.  Today we will venture to a new anchorage before leaving for Raiatea tomorrow.   Steve spotted a small cockroach on board so war has been declared.  It must have stowed away in Papeete.
