47/10/08 Castaway Island

Very sunny clear morning. This Island mast have been a location manager’s
dream as there are many isolated coves, each one different and very
beautiful. We had the island to ourselves for 24 hours until the tourist
boat came back. The snorkelling continued to be rewarding especially a
cloud of yellow fish with vertical stripes which all acted in perfect
synch. It was like watching one big fish.

In the evening back in Denerau, we went to see Nadi play a visiting
Australian Rugby Team. The locals lost 31-20 but it could have been much
close had their main kicker not been injured while winning last week’s
Fuji Championship game. Also the Aussies controlled almost all of the
line-outs.

I enclose some snaps of Castaway Island. The last one is the tourist
ship. We left shortly after it arrived and disgorged 50 people on the
beach.
