We left at 8 this morning and so far have had a really nice sunny run with little wind.

Nik saw a few fishing boats and decided it would be a good place to fish.  Unfortunately an hour or so later, a bird was trapped by the line; he wasn’t actually hooked but entangled.  Nik had to reel the bird in to be freed. The release was done gently with a boat hook, but it seemed the bird’s wing was damaged and I was worried that it might not survive. It did manage to fly off and land so hopefully it will be ok.  Needless to say, that put an abrupt end to the fishing.

We are moored in Caleta Saudade.  This cove was either named by the Italians in honour of their boat or their boat was named in honour of this cove.  I’ll have to ask.

Anyway it’s a tiny inlet and a very beautiful and snug anchorage. Today’s run was 79 miles.

The pictures are a few en route and the rest are of the little inlet.
