Completed our first week afloat without real issues. We also just completed 1,000 miles per the log meter (paddle wheel measuring device).

More flying fish around and so far only one on deck. More expected later. Ocean birds (petrels) more abundant here than closer to shore. Water temp is also rising now ready to break over 24 degrees C.

Weather forecast remains the same, 15-20 knot winds with some squalls in the area. Winds are from the NE - E which provides good conditions for wing and wing sailing. Last 24 hours we made 150 NM again. We are hoping these winds stay with us for the next few days.

Water maker working well so showers and even washing the salty deck has been done. Freshwater tanks are refilled with 1,000 liters storage.

Plenty of diesel fuel available since we have not run the engine. The generator consumes about 1.5 liters per hour of use so plenty of fuel for it's use.

Daily routines are in place with Jeremy doing sextant sightings and Eric learning. Star watching has also become more interesting as we now have gaps in the closure at night to see the waxing moon, Venus setting and Jupiter dominating the sky.

1830 miles to go.

Kind regards
