Over the last 24 hours we covered 135 NM. Pace was slowed by a large squall that required us to reef the main completely in along with a small genoa. In the night during the mainsail reef it jammed once again. Not wanting to deal with it in the dark we sailed with just a genoa in light winds but rough seas. End result was little progress during the night. In daylight we fixed the problem and were able to continue in calmer seas.

Now we wanted to get more westerly in our track and had problems keeping the genoa filled so we pulled it in and use just the mainsail to get further west. Now the winds have dropped again but the seas are calmer than before and the genoa is out. Making 7 knots again.

All other systems are fine. Using more electric than normal since the freezer is running full but the generator is working fine and keeping the batteries charged.

Jeremy did a mid day sextant reading and was almost right on the value provided by the GPS, great job and confirms the ability for a accurate backup.
