Today we took the tender into town.  Short ride into the marina from the boat.  This small town also has a small marina that handles about 15 sailboats along with that many fishing boats.  They expanded the marina to infuse more tourism via boaters and it has worked.  We watched several sailboats head directly for the marina, so they knew where they were headed.  While small inside it does have appropriate angles to drop the anchor and stern to on the quay.  Water and electric is available, electric is 3 Euro per kilowatt, about ten times the cost of a mainland residential charge.  But only a couple of Euros are needed for a night’s stay.

The town is small and the waterfront is being further upgraded, actually too much trying to be something it is not.  However it still is nice.  This time of year it is nearly deserted but we like that.

Part of the marina is based on the old Venetian fort that was built to defend the area.  It still serves its purpose but is sinking into the water a bit over the years.

Overall the area is very nice and apparently attracts the rich and famous.  We were not recognized!

Across the harbor are a couple of very nice and large estates as well as several upscale resorts.  Check Google Maps for the resort with the circular swimming pool with a water slide down to the beach.
