Half way to Zadar is a island called Pasman.  Not much happens on this island but is does have a few anchorages that are nice and good for swimming.  On this trip we did get to sail for 1.5 hours so not so bad as things go. On the way we did pass some new aquaculture farms that are not on any of the charts.  These are placed in protected areas that would make good anchorages so it is always something to keep in mind.  None of these have any light at night so again navigating around these islands at night is very dangerous.  In fact it is not allowed by regulation is most areas.

This anchorage is run by the city of Zadar and they have installed a nice array of mooring buoys in good condition and well spaced.  The shoreline is just a few holiday houses and one restaurant off to the side.  Well protected from the prevailing winds it was a nice stop.  However as we get further north and later in the summer the water temperature is dropping.  On the surface it is 19-20 C but a few degrees colder just a meter down.  Swimming off the stern of the boat is colder than the bow since the swinging of the boat mixes up the colder water with the surface.
