Today is not much different. We are beginning to see other rally boats who took a more western start than we did. So far two boats today were within sight. Both are sailing with spinnakers versus us who are using a poled out genoa. The difference is that we can run more downwind why they need to gybe back and forth to get the same direction. Each has it's advantage an disadvantage. Ours let's us sit back and read why theirs requires attention every few hours. So far we are faster on velocity made good.

Our standings in the rally are low because we took a southern route to start and hit a zone of no wind. So now that we are far enough south we have a direct run to St Lucia. I expect our classification will move up each day.

Weather is nice today, partly sunny, warm with moderate seas. flying fish are now around the boat at times.

Our watch schedule on board is one hour on and there hours off in the daylight. At night the watch increases to two hours on with six hours off. That gives the four watch keepers enough time to get decent sleep at night.

Many night a couple of us just sleep up in the cockpit under the stars and cool breeze, nicer than stuck below.

The last 24 hours saw another 150 NM distance covered. About 2,000 miles to go.

Kind regards
