Most things are now ready for departure.  We drove down with another car load of items and after two days found places to store everything.  Watermaker now fully operational, rigging inspected and okay.  We spent two days cleaning the outside, especially the dingy that collected a winter's worth of storm driven muddy water inside.

We have two small repairs to complete, replacement of some lifelines and repair some scratches to the hull that occurred during a winter storm while we were berth alongside a concrete quay.  Hopefully both will be completed during the week and we will move on.

By the way the Simon (the dog) got a new gangway.  Wider and longer so it is more stable.  After years of asking for a new gangway by Pat it took the dog to actually make it happen.

Weather is beginning to show signs of summer, just getting warm at times.  Warmer temps means that the marina is now buzy pulling boats, painting hulls, repairing electronics, etc.  Spring time rush but they seem to handle it working seven days a week.  Good sign is two dredge boats working the inlet for the last week.  Winter storms tend to silt the inlet with sand that travels north along the coast.  Last fall we were down to one foot of water below the keel.
