In the morning at Meganisi things were very nice.  Then at midday the flotilla arrived.  One by one they started to drop anchor around us.  No longer the quiet place to be and they all did not tie off to shore so when the winds change in the evening they will hit each other.  Further they were dropping their anchor rodes over each other.

We pulled anchor and went back to Lefkas.  Not that it is a favorite place but it is an easy distance away and has wonderful protection from the winds.  The bay is so large and even bottom that well over one hundred boats can easily fit.  The downside is the water is green from the landlocked nature and there always seems to be a water skier present going around the place.  Very few rules in Greece on boat speeds in anchorages.

Near the anchorage is the town of Nidri.  It is a tourist place catering to the British.  But the food is good and there are grocery stores, a small chandler and banks.

Town of Nidri from the water.  It is possible to stern-to at the town quay but the wakes from all the passing boats can be annoying.
