Seas Were rough again and winds high so we reefed substantially which hurt our speed during the night. The boat we were marking time with pulled out 20 miles as a result. Since this is not a race for us we are playing it safe versus speed. We still made 150 miles noon to noon so not bad.

Today the winds have dropped to the low end of the prediction. The seas are a little smoother but still rough. We have still have a poled out genoa and partial mainsail to balance the boat. Speed is about 6.5 to 7.0 knots so not the worst thing to have.

Today I wanted to flush out most of the Canary Island water we have left in one tank. It tastes pretty bad. So we washed the deck and will now refill the tank with water maker water. We still have about 400 liters in the other tank of water maker water so we are not short at all on supply. By the end of the day the water maker should have refilled the first tank and we will one again have 1,000 liters onboard. I think we will arrive in St Lucia with more water than when we left and nearly all our diesel except a small amount used for the generator.

By the end of the day there will be less than 1,000 miles to go.

Kind regards
