Once again up at 06:30 for departure.  Some wind but did not look bad.  Forecast was for strong local winds just south of the island blowing northeast at 25 knots.  Leaving the bay and heading around the point the winds grew but held around 15 – 20 knots as predicted for once.  They did overnight create a good choppy sea working partially against us.  Tried to sail without the motor but the chop was too much, causing the boat drop too much speed to make the 70 mile trip timely so we motored sailed again.  The wind did provide another half knot to boat speed and really helped punch through the waves and stabilize the boat some.  Not much to say about the trip except we kept the decks well washed with seawater half the trip.

We arrived at the marina.  Called ahead to make sure they knew we were coming, no issues.  Berthed stern-to with a strong side wind.  Took two tries to get it right but better to redo than try to fight the wind too much.  Two good bow mooring lines along with solid bollards on the concrete dock provide good security for the upcoming northerly winds due in another day.

The marina is just opening for the season so some of the stores are only partially stocked.  Town is only a 5 Euro taxi ride away with everything needed.  Having been here before it is easy to settle in.  Tomorrow over to the Port Police to register, some food shopping and buy a new Vodafone prepaid card for internet use.  The marina has free Wi-Fi but it is slow and for some reason certain websites and iPhone apps do not work.
